Azuli Presents: Francois K Choice, a collection of classics

This is the second installment in this great series. The first one was compiled by Frankie Knuckles, and now it is Francois Kevorkian's turn.

I really don't need to tell you what this French New Yorker has meant and still means for disco/dance music. This compilation is excellent in it's variety and a demonstration of FK's broad musical spectrum.

One question for those who have the album too. The first CD opens with "Right in the socket" by Shalamar, one of my alltime favorite Shalamar tracks. But this version is very different from my 12", which is an original SOLAR USA version. Yet, on the CD credits there is no mention of a special remix or something like that (and all credits, as well as the interview/bio of Francois are excellent and very detailed). Anybody?

I saw this Francois K compilation on vinyl tonight at Amoeba. Price= $26; I didn't buy it--could you please list the tracks and the timings--No timings on the back cover.

Also, what was on the Frankie Knuckles volume?

BTW - The Francois K CD is available from Amazon, but no track listing...
