    Manu Dibanga

On a tape which I assume is from 1982 I recorded three tracks from a Manu DibangO album:

"Take your time" - a slow reggae/dance like track with a slow, swaying beat. Sweet female vocals.

"Soul Makossa" - a remake with a reggae-like beat, slower than the original.

"???" - mostly instrumental track. Chorus goes something like "yame yame..". Sounds like some indigenous language...

All three tracks have Manu DibangO's signature sound. Does anybody have any clue about the name of the album?

Maarten: Google "Soul Makossa" + "reggae" and you should get a lead.
BTW: It's Manu DiBango not DiBanga. Just in case that's stopped you having any luck.
