The R rated version was screened on TV in the UK at Christmas. I was shocked to hear all the swearing especially the word c**t from John Travolta, as I'd only ever seen the PG version before. My 16 year old daughter barely batted an eyelid.
As many of you might know, there were actually 2 versions of SNF produced. A PG version, and an R rated version that had more explicit language and a shot of a topless dancer. I heard that the R rated version is no longer available due to racist statements. Does anyone know if both versions are available?

The original "R" rated version is the version on the region 1
DVD.
I saw the original at the White City Theater in Shrewsbury, MA the first Saturday night of it's release. :D God I loved that movie :D
Watched it with my future bride.
Anyway because of my enjoyment of the "R" version I refused to watch the "G" version for broadcast. So between December, 1977 and when the DVD was released in 2002 I had not seen SNF.
I bought the DVD and THAT version is the ORGINAL version.
