I really love 'Cant Live Without Your Love' from 1979. I have it on many compilation CDs & the 12"single too but does anyone know of any other Tamiko Jones records. The only one I've heard is her version of Marvin Gaye's 'I Want You' which is a brilliant slinky slower, but still disco treatment of the song (this was on the radio).
    I can't imagine she was a one-shot diva.

Another title by Tamiko Jones is a "morning music" tempo number titled "Let It Flow'. Also, if you have the Larry Levan at the Paradise Garage, there's a picture of Tamiko with Tom Moulton & Grace Jones, among others. I thought Tamiko was Chita Rivera until I read the photo caption. She somehow flew under my radar until recently.

Yes Marky,I have that CD with that picture but it doesn't say who the woman is next to Grace Jones does it? I assume she's 'disco royalty' if she hung out with that gang.

Hmmm, well now you've stumped me. Maybe it was Keefe who told me that was Tamiko in that photo. Are we wrong??? I have no idea what she looks like.

Tamiko Jones also did a relatively nice version of Stevie Wonder's "Creepin'". Mark, there's a photo of her in some compilation I have, but I don't recall, offhand, which one.
