I've got a white label 12-inch from around 1984/1985 from which I know artist nor title.
It's some sort of go-go beat song that starts off with a male voice and the lyrics 'Said you'd better take it easy, don't stop that go-go beat' which is repeated several times before going into rappin' by the same male voice. Every new line is completed by people shouting 'Go-go beat, go-go beat'.
We used to play it in the early 80ties at our dance-oriented radio station and thought it was a band called Affectum with the track being titled 'Don't stop that go-go beat' (which is the chorus of the song).
Does anybody know the facts?
