I noticed that Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes disco songs "The Love I Lost" and "Bad Luck" have made huge success on the disco floors and are talked about quite a lot.

But they also did another fantastic track in 1975 called "Tell The World How I Feel About 'cha Baby" which I reckon also deserves the popularity as their two big hits. But I don't seem to hear much talk about this song on the web or in this forum.

I'm wondering out of interest when you guys use to go to discos around the mid 1970's was "Tell The World How I Feel About 'cha Baby" popular on the dance floors?

To be honest funky, I don't even remember what that song sounds like!

I remember in the early to mid 70's the songs popular by HM and the BNs were the Love I Lost, Where are all my Friends, and Bad Luck. Tell the World...was a nice tune but it wasn't rally a "dance floor" tune.
I rarely heard it played in a night club.

As for the clubs I went to in London in the 70's, I can only repeat what Fantomas said.

The main Harold Melvin tracks were Bad Luck, The Love I Lost, Where Are All My Friends and Wake Up Everybody.

If it moves - funk it!!

Well as usual, Funky Dude your excellent musical instincts are more accurate than the memories of folks who danced at the time.

Checking the Billboard Disco charts, "Tell The World" spent 11 weeks in the Top 15 in New York. It debuted on the 12/20/75 chart at #15-then charted at #10, 9, 6, 4, 5, 4, 6, 6, 8, and 13(week ending 2/28/76).

It reached #7 on the R&B chart; 11 weeks total.

Interestingly, where it did not do well is on the Pop Charts, where it peaked at #94.

Mayne that's why we don't seem to remember it being played that much.

Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes had 9 songs reach the R&B Top 10 (4 #1's); "Tell The World" was the second to the last of their Top 10's.
    "Lost inside adorable illusion...."
