    SUPREME DISCO

Hey, whats up ya'll. I just wanted to say hi and suggest a cd for you all to try. As an intern at Universal Music Group, I get new cd's all the time and the most recent one I got was from Diana Ross and the Supremes. It's called #1's. It's super good. Anyways, my fav. song is baby love, what is your fav. song by them?

 Neither of which have anything to do with Diana Ross so I guess you're not talking about this 'so-called remixed' CD.

Soulsinger41: This is the second time you've "pushed" this CD on the site. What's really up with it? Have all the songs been 'remixed' or enhanced' and to what end? I've read the backgrounds have been brought forward but what else is going on? Are the songs 'extended' or only lengthened by a few seconds here and there? Is the "You Keep Me Hangin' On" mix on this CD the same alternate version that's on their "Anthology" (2001 - Universal) release? Come on, intern, share the love. :D

Actually a remix would be a turnoff for me... But remastered sounds more appetizing. :D

    NOTHING BUT HEARTACHES *
    LOVE CHILD

    suprime disco

Keep me hanging on was just remixed by Almighty. It was mixed from the original master tracks and is fantastic. It holds true to the original and just sounds beefed up. No hours of drums Boomshe boomshe and minimal vocals here. Highly suggested! :P
I believe a short version is on a new greatest hits.

    cool

Wow. Those are all great songs by Diana Ross and the Supremes. Yeah, they are definitely not all on this remastered cd, but they should be. I mean, what do you guys think about Diana Ross by herself. Do you think that she is a good singer without the supremes, or do you think what made her was the supremes?

Huh? :-? I'd much prefer a response to this if you care to ---

Hello All! I remember when the "new" Supremes (sans Diane) were on all those early 70's variety shows! I think the first time I saw the Supremes with new lead singer Jean Terrell was on the old Flip Wilson show!! Flip made it a point to really "sell" the new Supremes survival without Diane. I really, really loved the stuff the new Supremes put out. To this day "Up The Ladder To The Roof" and "Stoned Love" are still two of my all time Supremes songs even with Diane missing on the leads! I think the Supremes after Diane were actually pretty good! I wonder why they didn't catch on? Bad management? Poor promotors? A curse placed on them by Diane? (Tee-Hee...just kidding!) By the way, the two songs I listed above were "MEGA" hits in their day and today's oldie stations ignore them completely!!! But then again....what else is new with today's moldy oldie radio stations playing the same old 200 oldies day after day!
P.S. Have you noticed how oldies stations have Petula Clark pegged as a "one hit wonder"??? How many more times do we have to be forced to listen to "Downtown"?
    Ay Chihuahua...Anyway...Take Care All! Mario

Of course we do. :) It's the medley that is currently on her "Diana" CD, The Deluxe Edition, with both versions of the album on disc 1, (Motown's mix and the Chic Organization's Unreleased mix) plus some 12"s and alternate mixes on disc 2. This is the disc where you'll find the extended mix of "Love Hangover", the D.R. & Supremes medley, the 12" mixes of "You're So Good For Me", "What You Gave Me", "I Ain't Been Licked" and some other good stuff. Check it out.
