Do you know if the song "Are you lovin' somebody" (Debra Dejean - 1981/1982) is available in CD ?

I heard that she (Debra) was a secretary at Casablanca Records or somewhere like that...suddenly she got a record deal!!! :-?

Actually a lot of that LP is really good...I've never seen any of it on cd. :D :D :D

Someone once wrote here (long, long, ago) about Miss Debra being so "loaded" she fell off the stage at some gig...but I wasn't there...so all I can do is spread that ugly rumor!!! :P

Afterwards they stuck some potatoes inside and had baked potatoes for lunch.

I bet they used the same people who decorated the Flock Of Seagulls 'I Ran' video.

lol this enigmatic Debra DeJean woman has been a topic of discussion on here for several years it seems haha.. I'd love to see this on CD too. Recently, I've come across some early '80s Handshake releases that have been reissued on CD lately. So far they're only available through certain select retailers (which I can't link to) and ebay. Interestingly they all seem to have the Handshake logo and address (I believe the same one posted by Marcodj). Also interesting, is that the CDs don't seem to be available through the conventional channels (amazon.com etc..).

The titles I've seen reissued so far are:

Karin Jones - Under The Influence of Love (1982)
Johnny Bristol - Free To Be Me (1981)
    Revelation - Revelation (1980)
    Revelation - Revelation (1982)
    Trilark - Trilark (1982)

I'm not sure how good the CDs are or how legit they are, since I don't have them yet... In any case I'd also like to see a CD reissue of the Amii Stewart album they released in the early '80s.

I'd always heard that after the shoot they rolled Debra DeJean up in the foil, deep pitted her, and France Joli ate her .....

I did find a few little traces of her when I did a google search a while back.. I guess she was pretty well known in the Memphis, TN music scene for a while. It seems she was in a band called Wyzard  under her real name Debra Preston..

My guess is that she's livin' in a trailer (doublewide with a sewer hookup) --that's a classy trailer-- and workin' in a c&w bar and singin' along with the jukebox or the karoke machine--somewhere in Memphis or maybe Nashville...or maybe Florida----waitin' for discoman to find her. :P

I remember some years ago someone wrote here that had met her in some disco club back in the day and that she was very full of herself.
I know only the "Goosebumps" song, which for me was always great. I don't know if that was her greatest hit though. When you put "debra dejean" in soulseek, "Goosebumps" never appeared, in fact Debra's name hardly appeared at all.
This I heard from a friend, of course!

I think that someone was me, I attended one of her show at the Limelight disco club in Montreal, and she appeared to be loaded, one of her tits poped out while performing. :P
