    Grammys

In a rare moment I caught a Grammy show, well some of it anyway. It was nice to see Earth Wind and Fire with Maurice White performing. I've heard so many rumors about his health I didn't know what to believe.
I also didn't realize Beyonce was tall and sexy. Nice legs. :D
    Any comments on the show?

I thought I had set up the VCR. I neglected to shut it down so that it would auto-start at 8 PM.

Anyway, I'm still a little burned that Janet was asked to stay away while "Dead Wood In Flaccid ( Placid) Water" was allowed to perform. As for the music, heard it was a hip-hop event. Anybody see it?

The sound production was certainly not up to par.And I detected a number of artists singing out of key at times or was it just me.And the country artists rendition of I Saw Her Standing There :x.Over all disappointing but I don't expect much from the Grammies anyways.

Whoa, that would indicate that they weren't using autotuners, and the performances weren't lip-synced! Cutting-edge stuff!!

  Maybe it was that '5-minute delay' they instituted at the 11th hour. Je ne sais pas pourquoi. :D

    Observations:

Prince has discovered the Grace Jones fountain of youth-- to my eyes, he looked exactly like when he sang "Little Red Corvette" in 1983!!! Amazing. :o

Sadly Philip Bailey seemed to have totally lost that wonderful falsetto...his attempts to sing high on "Shining Star" were painfully embarrasing.

Did EW&F sing on the record of OutKast's "The Way You Move"? Their chorus vocals on the Grammy show sounded just like the record--I've always wondered who that sounded like--it was definitely EW&F.

Scratchy sound problems marred Alicia Keys' & Celline Dion's tribute to Luther. Luther appeared on tape and actually sang a phrase of an old song. Miss Patti LaBelle subbed for the no-show, if you're NASTY, Miss Jackson. Yes, you're NASTY. America get over it. A breast!!!!!! Will the world ever be the same?

The FUNK section featuring EW&F, OutKast, the Ralph something Band and George Clinton & P-Funk was the most interesting to us old-timers, I guess. :D

I heard Janet refused to show because they wanted her to apologize. I guess Janet told 'em to **** off! Right on Janet  Besides if I had tits like that I wouldn't apologize! I guess P Diddy reflected my sentiments.
Marky, I sadly have to agree about Philip. I didn't wanna admit it but oh well, father time takes it's toll I guess :o

Of corse..everything today is hip-hop..which is why I pay no attention to anything of today's entertainment...or world for that matter  Thats surprising that EWF and Prince were there..wish I woulda watched it now. They dont fit the garbage of today..dont make sence why they were there. I cant see the kids with pants so baggy looks like they **** themselves and the "yo yo" attitude liking good music...but hey, at least EWF and Prince are still around. Wish i woulda watched it now for just their 2 performances.
