I believe your looking for the song Power In The Darknes done by the Tom Robinson Band. Album of the same name released in 1978. He also had a hit called War baby which had good play here in Toronto in 1984.

I would go with sweetndirty and say it's Machine:
LET'S FIND A PLACE THEY SAY,
SOMEWHERE FAR AWAY,
WITH NO BLACKS, NO JEWS AND NO GAYS.
And forgive my manners --- WELCOME to the site, pureblend. :)
I have the soundtrack LP (or CD lol) and also know that Machine track very very well as it was first heard in Philadelphia at various discos played by DJ Bob Pantano. Also, I own the film. It is "There But For The Grace Of God Go I" by Machine. On vinyl its very hard to find now days but it was on RCA Records 1979.
