Made myself a new compilation with different gems and a aditional 2 extended disco version of songs i like ( happy with the result ) my new cd goes like this:

10. City girl - JUMBO ( Special extended disco version RUOFF. )
11. Let's dance - THE BOMBERS
12. Magic mind - EARTH WIND AND FIRE ( Special remix RUOFF. )
13. Arise and shine - THE INDEPENDENTS

There are most definitely some real gems in there. Puts me in a real Friday nite party mood!!

I always love that base line on "Magic Mind" - unfortunately I only have the 7-inch. But, looking on the bright side, that's still 3 mins of baseline bliss!!

Gems that I have got -
Jackson Sisters - picked it up on re-issued 12" in mid-80's, when "Rare Groove" tunes were the business.

George Duke - One of the reasons why I bought the Disco Spectrum 2 CD was for this quality track.

Dr Buzzard's Original Savannah Band - I have a very scratched 7" verison of this bought in a 2nd hand record shop a long time ago ... So what is your extended disco version like??

One artist for which I don't possess any CD or vinyl is Barry White. I have heard a lot of his stuff being played on the specialist radio shows recently - including some exquisite slow records. I am looking out for a good compilation of his music to buy (incl the Love Unlimited Orch stuff as well). Which are his best tunes worth looking out for, in your opinion?

What i did basicly with DR BUZZARD'S , i took my 7 inch cd version of 3 min. , cut it in 6 parts , place those back together to have a 5.30 min. version , did the same thing with the JUMBO track, it gave an excellent result. theres often 7 inch version that i like but to short so i started this small project , its fun . As for BARRY WHITE i have the album SINGS FOR SOMEONE YOU LOVE - 1977 on cd ezcellent album plus a compilation B. WHITES GREATEST HITS VOL.2 with 12 inch version of his music , excellent cd also , i own nothing of the LOVE UNLIMITED ORC. so far , will look intoi it....RU.
