Yes k-bee, you were onto something there... right up until someone pulled out "Jane Get Me Off This Crazy Thing" by Tee Vee Toons and played it...
I was briefly listening to Mac Thornhill's "Whose Gonna Ease The Pressure of my heart" from 1987 and it is a definete contender for the most dated house track ever. I know a lot of 80s house music haven't aged that well but the fact that this even became a hit and was included in lots of megamixes back then is beyond me
during the past couple of years the music biz has been all about revivals....disco house, nu classic soul, electroclash - u name 'em.
I honestly can't see these badly programmed stylings of Mac Thornhill ever returning....or am i wrong?

Anyone listened to Technotronic lately???? "Pump Up The Jam" and "Move This", anyone????
This was about when I first noticed the "new music" had, to quote Lorenz Hart-- "the faint odor of perfoming seals". It was all downhill from there. :P  :P

But at least they were programmed in a way that made sense and you could dance to....that's more than you can say about Mac Thornhill
Technotronic are still on the radio sometimes over here actually! I tend to switch stations when it happens!
