GEMM seems to have a few things. There's a CD titled "Blacknuss 3" up there so there's got to be something else.Originally Written by maarten
Even though Blacknuss' album "Made in Sweden" did not come out until 1995, it is full of beautifully crafted remakes, done with great respect for the originals.
Tracks include "Rising to the top", "Looking up to you" and the track that also made it onto single "It should have been you" with Tityo (Neneh Cherry's sister) and Jennifer Brown. The other songs are (instrumental) jazz funk tracks.
The single received a lot of airplay on London's Jazz FM, and the album has remained one of my alltime favorites.
The weird thing is that my release of their album was released through an obscure Italian label called Zac Music, who in turn licensed from Diesel Music Sweden.
What I wanted to ask if there were any further releases by Blacknuss?

Hi Nicky, yes, I just noticed that, too. I ordered the number 2 and 3 albums... sounds like more of the same so it can't be bad![]()

I actually own the Blacknuss 3 CD and I can higly recommend it if you like the Made In Sweden one.
It was released in 2000 on Superstudio which is a division of Diesel Music.
Blacknuss also released "Allstars" in 1996.
http://www.dieselmusic.se/blacknuss/ is their official website.
Thanks for that K-Bee. Album #2 and #3 are on their way... I guess I will post a review myself :-?
