More 12 inch questions. Has Alec R Costandinos ever put out extended 12 inch versions of any tracks from "Winds Of Change" or "Trocadero Lemon Blue"? I know the Sumeria album he put out a 12 of 'Golden Tears" with a 4 min electronic drum and bass break in the middle (it's f**king awsome!!! Although I only have a copy of it on a CDR and don't own it). Did he do anything like this with any other Sumeria tracks? Help me with this if anyone can.

Not to my knowledge. There was no such thing put out by Casablanca.

??? I was under the impression that the Sumeria 12" was merely an excerpt from side two of the album.

It's too bad that there aren't more 12" mixes from that; I would love to hear "Dance And Leave It All Behind You" without the distracting dialogue.

I was hoping that "Dance And Leave It All.." had a 12 without the diolog as well. The "Golden Tears" 12 has very little diolog. It starts the same but, remixed with more bass and the drum and bass track comes in where the end diolog begins on the album. Imagine that beat break with no diolog and getting heavyer and heavyer bass for 4 min straight!! Thats the 12 and it's awsome!! That is the first version of "Golden Tears" i ever heard. When I got the album the lack of bass and different mix w/diolog threw me off.

    Wait a minute...

Do you have the actual 12", or have you only heard it through AudioGalaxy/Morpheous/et al?

Ages ago I downloaded an MP3 that was supposedly the 12" mix, similar to what you describe... however, it was clearly not a straight transfer. There were HUGE variances in dynamics, and also heavy flanging effects piled on at the end. These were obviously the result of some DJ trickery, and not from the record.

Yes, I have one off audio galaxy. It is the same version except who ever put it out there fucked with the levels and bass on it. I have from an old Napster friend a good copy of this with normal levels and bass.
