I rec'd my book also. I found it very interesting on page 352, listing of the Top #1 Dance/Disco Hits 1974-1979. After comparing Mr. Whitburn's list to the AT40 Songs of the Disco Era 1974-1979 which is based on Billboard's ranking (Casey's broadcast date July 7, 1979), in my opinion, the club plays were the best. It puzzles me that more of the Whitburn list didn't make it to the Top 40 list for the same time period. Oh, well. The AT 40 list:
    20. Star Wars Theme-Cantina Band-Meco
    19. More, More, More-Andrea True Connection
    18. Miss You-Rolling Stones
    17. Car Wash-Rose Royce
    16. If I Can't Have You-Yvonne Elliman
    15. Shake Your Booty-KC & The Sunshine Band
    14. I'm Your Boogie Man-KC & The Sunshine Band
    13. Dance, Dance, Dance-Chic
    12. MacArthur Park-Donna Summer
    11. Don't Leave Me This Way-Thelma Houston
    10. Y.M.C.A.-Village People
    09. Boogie Oogie Oogie-Taste Of Honey
    08. I Love The Night Life-Alicia Bridges
    07. Do Ya Think I'm Sexy-Rod Stewart
    06. I Will Survive-Gloria Gaynor
    05. A Fifth of Beethoven-Walter Murphy
    04. Best Of My Love-The Emotions
    03. Staying Alive-Bee Gees
    02. Night Fever-Bee Gees
    01. Le Freak-Chic

Maybe that's the reason why all the compilations contain the same old top 40 songs..What do you think about the listing for 1974-1979?
