I'm only 28 but I do remember Hot 103before it went to 97 and became rap. I even have the switch from 103 to 97 on tape. But anyway back to your topic. I remember Glen Fricia, Scotty Blackwell, Franco Iemello mixing Bango from Todd Terry. But I really can't remember the tracks. I have to check my tapes. But here's the tracks i used to mix with it:
-Anything from that "To The Batmobile Album" from Todd Terry that had "Bango" on it. I don't remember all the tracks, I'll have to look.
-Also you can mix stuff fom Royal House like "Party People", "Can You Party", etc.
-"And The Beat Goes On" from D.M.S was another good one.
- "A Day In The Life" from Black Riot was good ,too. Even the B-Side "Key The Pulse" was a overlooked stomper.
So anyway there were tons a good records you could mix with "Bango". E-mail me at FR1437@aol.com and I can get you a more thourough list when I get a chance to dig in the crates for it.
*Also do you know where Todd Terry stole that sample on "Bango"? Post it back to me and we'll find out. I hope this was helpful to you
