Apparently you have the first of two albums. They were a funk band out of Milwaukee. The drummer was Pee Wee Carter and the vocals were by French Thompson. That is all I was able to dig up.
Just want to know who can give some good info on this early 70's funk group. I have seen this band's name around many times last year and usually when I keep hearing a name, I take it as a sign to make it my business to find out more so here goes....I only know of one self-titled album "Cane And Able". It has 7 tracks:
1) Girl You Move Me
2) Starchild
3) Who's Gonna Take The Weight (Kool & The Gang rival???
4) Don't Knock My Love
5) Green Grass
6) Toe Hold
7) Found A Child
I listened to a couple clips and found them to have a style of Mandrill,Ripple,Magnum & The Counts and the last clip reminds me of some classic Santana or Malo...Not bad but not enough clip-time or info at Tigersushi... ...
It is one of those rare groups with minimum exposure from what I hear. Just want more in depth info. Thanks

Different eyes see different things. Different hearts beat on different strings. But there are times for you and me when all such things agree...Rush
As much as I know, the group was quite popular in France.
Both albums were recorded in Paris, producer and
side(wo)men all french.
I only know of french, german and dutch pressings of their lps
and 45s.
That´s about it.
There is also a Brazilian pressing of one of their records, has a different photo sleeve to the european issues.

Hi visuals,
CANE & ABLE, here's a group for the FUNKHEADS of the world. I already have their first album on my collection and it's a great slice of funk. My favorite track of the bunch is the first, GIRL YOU MOVE ME, with its psychedelic effects and echoes, pretty cool stuff. They do some gritty covers of WILSON PICKETT songs that are very good too. As much as I know about the group, there were some musicians in CANE & ABLE that played also on a group called LAFAYETTE AFRO ROCK BAND.
CANE & ABLE sophomore album is called RELATING A MESSAGE TO YOU and it was released in 1972. I never saw a copy of this LP, but I have five of its tracks on mp.3, including a fantastic jam called MASS OF CONFUSION.
Peace,
