is Boyd Jarvis really playing keyboards over this. I can't make it out for some reason. Also was Boyd Jarvis in any LP's or 12"s? Thanks :D

From memory, Boyd Jarvis's first solo record came out about 5 years ago, called 'At Last'.

As a team, both he and Timmy Regisford produced and re-mixed a welter of material in the early to mid '80s, with their characteristic 'garage' sound and heaving, low-register bass lines.

Here's what I can recall at the moment:

Visual 'The Music Got Me' & 'Somehow, Someway' (Prelude)
Circuit 'Release The Tension' (4th & B'Way)
Legend 'Whip Your Hips' (Zoo York) - a Rick James pastiche
Ziggie-Toir ''Lectric Ziggie Groove' (TSOM)
Janice Christie 'One Love' (Supertronics)
Young & Co. 'Such A Feeling' (Atlantic)
Steve Arrington 'Homeboy' (Atlantic)

'Wake Up' by Bohannon sounds exactly like them, though they're not credited on the 12" - and I've never noticed this track on a Bohannon LP.

Boyd has had a few thing out on house labels like Movin, Easy St and Wave. his golden ear eas probably as Forrrce says the mid 80's
