Yes, it is the same person. She lateer reappeared in the late 1980s on domestic records as simply "Suzy" with the song "Can't Live."
Someone posted a LP by Suzy Q containing her hit Get On Up & Do It Again my question is, could this be the same artist that did a remake of Suzi Lane's hit Harmony around 1985?

I thought it was her but she sounds very different from her earlier song Get It Up And Do It Again cool. :)
I always liked her later 12" "Come lets Have a Party" - a good funky disco track with a strong "Good times" style baseline. Shame it is cut so loud it sounds a little distorted and harsh in places
Leather is the way forward!
The best Suzy Q tune, 12" Remix by Ben Liebrand, "Get on up". One of the best club songs.
Isn't it confusing that the '81 LP contains totally unconnected tracks called 'Get On Up & Do It Again' & 'Get On Up'? :-?
...ya gotta beat the street......
I was always under the impression that Carol Jiani sang "Get On Up And Do It Again" under the name of Suzi Q?
Somebody else brought this up some time ago. It's not true. Suzy Q.'s real name is Michele Mills. Both she and Carol Jiani worked with the same producers out of Canada (Unidisc). They both did the song and if you play one behind the other you'll hear it's not the same woman. That said, the story still has legs. From the liner notes in the cd, "Gay Classics * Volume X: Turn It Out":Originally Written by Boogie Child
The last song on this volume is "Get On Up and Do It Again" by Carol Jiani. I am sure you will remember the track, but you may not remember Carol as the artist. Well, the deal is, Carol had just done the vocals for the "Hit and Run Lover" album when she did the vocals for this song. Because she was under contract, she was not able to release "Get On Up...," so it was released under the name, Susy[sic] Q. Politics aside, this is a fantastic low-tempo track. Check it out!
In reality, it's Suzy Q.'s version that is the 'low-tempo', funky track while Carol Jiani's is leaning toward mid-tempo disco.
