I know that there are a lot of dico lovers on this forum, but who is really active as a DeeJay right know?

When and where do you play, and what is your music style? (probably disco i guess)

Myself, i'm a parttime dj. I play once a week in a bar in Antwerp (Belgium), and occasionaly on parties.

I play different styles: housy, disco, funk, hiphop, reggea, 2step, breakbeat,.. well it's party music.

and i also collect soul, jazz and downbeat music.

I'm one. I do on-off parties and spin mostly obscurish eurodisco with hi-hats and bongos, sleazy Italian and French soundtrack grooves from the early-to-mid 70's (Black Emanuelle etc), some bossa, Gil Ventura's version of "Foot Stomping Music", the occasional afrofunk tune, maybe a little Gainsbourg or Yello and lots of unclassified rhythmic things.

Lets hear what you current faves are!

Nonkel808, hello from the USA. I worked as a DJ during the 'Disco' and 'New-Wave' days. In the late 90's (98-99) I dj'ed a 'retro' 70's nite at a local dance club. I have worked 9 clubs (thankfully I didn't have to 'job search' too often) in the Florida, Wisconsin and Louisanna areas. I never did the 'mobil circut' prefering clubs whose patron's knew what the club's format was v.s. playing to a paying 'room' that I didn't know what was wanted. I have a vinyl/cd mix system at home and appox. 1,500 vinly copies of dance music. Hope my reply answers your question. All the Best, Phil
