Ever been in the situation where you had a record/CD in your hand but you did not buy it. Now you can't find it anywhere, and you WISH you had bought it at the time??
I can think two painful examples ..
When I was out in Germany studying in the early 80's, I had a copy of William DeVaughan's 1974 LP "Be Thankful For What You've Got" in my hand - a measly 4 Deutschmarks. I didn't buy it, and I've never seen the LP since. I have got a 2 min version on a K-Tel compilation, and I've got the 1979 disco mix, but I WANT the 1974 original LP version in all its glory ..
It came on the radio a couple of weeks ago, but I had just filled up the spare MD I was recording onto, so I didn't get it then, either ...
The same also happened with El Coco's "Cocomotion" LP on US AVI. I could have bought it for £1.50 in 1979, but I didn't. Then I started hunting for it everywhere, and I eventually found it in London after 8 years - cost me four quid...
If it moves - funk it!!

You can download the full length 1974 version of William DeVaughn's "Be Thankful For What You Got" from Audio Galaxy on MP3. Audio Galaxy is a MP3 sharing site far better than Napster and you can find a lot of extremely rare stuff there. I've downloaded the full length of that song and it's fantastic. Audio Galaxy is at htt://www.audiogalaxy.com
All you need to do is download the Audio Galaxy Satellite software and install it and join Audio Galaxy online and share a directory and you'll be able to download.
Also I did a little search through Google and found that this album is available at cdnow.com . Just click here to view it:

I hope this helps

Thanks, that helps a lot.
I've often thought about registering with audiogalaxy.com, but have never got round to it. I think you have just persuaded me!!

Jazzy I somehow allowed not one but TWO cds to get away. The first one was a disco compilation called 12" Essentials: The Seventies (with the original versions). Here is what I lost for $11.99:
1.Risky Changes - Bionic Boogie
2.I Love The Nightlife - Alicia Bridges
3.Cuba - Gibson Brothers
4.Never Can Say Goodbye - Gloria Gaynor
5.I Need A Man - Grace Jones
6.Ain't That Enough For You - John Davis
7.Stomp - Brothers Johnson
I've also missed out on a 2-single cd :
Let's All Chant - Mike Zager Band and another good song that I can't remember right now. It was only $5.99!
