    Well,

In the 80's I bought many rock oriented 12 inches. Now when I pull them out the 12 inches(alot of them anyway) are dance versions that I can mix with. Here are a few great ones from my nostalgic collection and what I like to do with them:

    Devo - Peek a Boo(Devo Dub) I pitch to - 8

Yes - Leave It I pitch to +6

Yes - Owner Of A Lonley Heart normal pitch

    Rolling Stones - Undercover normal

The Clash - Rock The Casbah(Mustapha Dance) normal pitch or -6 depending on what other tracks are in the mix

Falco - Vienna Calling(torist version) - this is a hard eurodisco mix sounding alot like Giorgio's "Chase"

Wall Of Voodoo - Factory - same as the LP version but a good morning type track

Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer - normal most of the time but sometimes pitched to +4

Phil Collins - Sussudio this one is a dance track already by the 12 inch mix. Usually normal pitch but sometimes -4. Play this one all the way through in a mix. The end break is perfect for mixing into "Unexpected Lovers" by Lime(pitching Lime down to -41/2). I've done this in many 80's mix tapes I made.

I could go on and on.........

Gawd, last summer I think it was --Boodi had a post about DanceRock 12" singles and I must have listed several hundred of my favorites from my collection. I wish I could cut and paste all that stuff here, but since the board has changed format, I guess all that info no longer exists. I wish I had it in me to retype all those songs that I love. Well, maybe some day I will.

Marky, maybe you remember an Aztec Camera 12' in yellow vinyl, had on one side a kinda fast instrumental with a wonderful guitar solo. Saw it playing in a record store around 1988 and like a fool didn't asked for the name of the track.

    Does anyone have this?
