How does one mix into "Let's Groove"? I find that vocoder intro very hard to work with.
So use it as the first song of your set!
"ON THE BEAT" at http://littlemacho.tripod.com/
Well, let's see, the vocal version has a 64 beats intro (or 4 sets of 16 or 8 sets of 8, never studied music but I think they are called bars) that you can use to blend in before the vocals kicks in, you can slip in the intro after a slow jam or a cold ending song, or you can play some effect record (Patrick Cowley’s Menergy intro) and blend in to change styles or tempo (rock to funk or high energy to funk or what ever), of course the best way is to get a second copy, preferably the British 12” that has the instrumental version, and then the sky is the limit to the possibilities, have you ever heard it with a 4 beat delay mix?, this record was a god sent for any DJ that liked to work a record, I could work it for 15 minutes and the crowds, well, they just couldn’t get enough of it. This song brings back good memories for me.enjoy
