    Ageless Disco

Just had to share this submission I saw on another website.I tink it's priceless and just goes to show what an impact disco had on all generations

"My name is Frida, and I am a seventy-year-old disco queen. I have been listening to the groovin tunes of disco before a lot of you whipper-snappers were even born. I named my 14 cats after my favorite disco artists, like Gloria (after Gloria Gaynor), Anita (Anita "Ring My Bell" Ward), K.C. (K.C. & The Sunshine Band), Alicia Bridges...you get the picture. I first starting listening to disco when my late husband Harold took me to Studio 54 in '77. Sometimes my cats talk to me and tell me which songs they want to hear. I put in whatever 8-track they want me to. You should see my one cat, Tavares, do the Hustle!"

    You go girl!

    obigm,

Do you remember that elderly lady that used to show up on the Merv Griffin show in the late seventies? I think she was known for being at Studio 54.

Just because you have a few years doesn't mean you have to stay home and watch TV. 8) God Bless her!!

I vaguely remember such a character but alas time has fogged my mind up.

bigm, pretty cool story... talk about someone who takes their disco seriously... I didn't think anyone could be that decicated on that level. 14 cats named after disco artists? I especially like the cat named Tavares 8)

Wasn't that old lady who showed up in Merv's audience named Mrs. Miller? She sat behind me one time when I attended a taping of "Jeopardy" in New York. That was so long ago that they had technicians to pull little pieces of cardboard up out of the way to expose the answer when the contestant chose a square.

The lady from Studio 54 was called Disco Sally I think. In the movie they call her Mona.
