Interesting. Are you hitting the "quote" button and then typing your message under it once the screen opens up? Tell me/Bernie what's exactly going on.

Strange, but the forum sometimes has a mind of its own. Every once in a while it likes to act up.

    Nobby,

    Welcome to the forum.

I know I have 54 somewhere so I'll need to revisit that one as I have forgotten it.
As for The Quick, I certainly recall "Zulu" from 1981, but not "Rhythm of the Jungle."

Actualy, funny The Quick is being mentioned as I've been totaly obsessed with this great new wave/disco band as of late. "Rhythym Of The Jungle" was a great track from '82. Actualy just saw the video on VH1 Classic last week. The other Quick tracks that I know and all kick major ass is "Young Men Drive Fast", "Sharks Are Cool, Jets Are Hot", "Zulu" and "To Prove My Love" which is the B Side of "..Jungle" and is a bit weak but still good. "Young Men.." and "Sharks Are Cool.." I got introduced to by hearing old spins of Bobby Viteritti. Bernie, if ya dont know any of the others than "Zulu" you should check em out, they are great stuff if you like that early 80's new wave rock meets disco sound

'Sexy Thing' from the same Bob McGilpin LP as '54' is also rather good & a little funkier. Whatever happened to Mr.McGilpin; anyone have any info?

After Butterfly Records closed down, McGilpin moved to Casablanca Records in 1980 and released a ho-hum single called "Chain Reaction."

I thought I had already put this in the Vault, but I'll have to add it soon along with a label scan.

Thanx Bernie. He didn't have much luck with record labels did he? It seems that every time he moved to one it closed down!

Patice Rushan - Never Gonna Give You Up

MFSB - Mysteries Of The World
    - Just bought the album and it's the best track on there :)

    The Whispers - Imagination
    - Why this wasn't as big as "And The Beat Goes On" I still fail to understand

Aaron Ross Presents Rain People Featuring Marcus Begg - Trippin' On Love
    - more soulful and sample free house for the new year

    Spinners - I'm Coming Home

ComKing: Tamiko Kones - Let It Flow.......mmmmm, nice. I love that record's feel and groove. The only minor downer I have on it is that it's such an obvious cut 'n' paste stretch job. Although the synth solo is great, it wanes a little with the repeats.
