great disco albums not on cd..or are they???

    hi all,
i thought it would be interesting to list all the better disco albums that aren't yet out on cd. the trammps "thats where the happy people go" is an album i cant wait to be released on cd. also i know brass construction's first album was out on cd for a short time but is no longer. as was unidiscs' release of alec constandinos/love and kisses' romeo and juliet acts 1 2 3 and 4, along with i found love and accidental lover.
what would be your "can't wait to be out on cd album"

    Disco classics on CD

My ultimate disco LP for Cd release would be the Walter Gibbons "Disco Madness" Remix LP on Salsoul. For me these are the definitive mixes of the definitve tracks....it don't get no deeper! As for already on CD it's gotta be the Scepter Tom Moulton Remixes Vol.1. not just for Patti Jo .....so many classics!

I'd like to see Dan Hartman's "Relight My Fire" LP on CD - simply because you can't get "Hands Down" any other way.
Sure, "Relight My Fire" is available on CD (and "Instant Replay", "Countdown"), but I want "Handsd Down"!

Also, the Melba Moore LP with "You Stepped Into My Life" and "Pick Me Up, I'll Dance" - you can't get "Pick Me Up..." any other way!

    The WB Madleen Kane catalog:

    "Rough Diamond"
    "Cheri"
    "Sounds of Love"
    "Don't Wanna Lose You"

Most of the singles from these albums ("Rough Diamond", "Forbidden Love Suite", "Cherchez Pas", "You Can", "Playing For Time", "Fire in My Heart") are available on a Greatest Hits CD but in terribly edited form - curiously enough the collection has "12 Inches" in the title!

Candi Staton has a really nice greatest hits collection on CD. Candi Staton's Greatest Hits

As for Poussez only their first LP should make it to CD as the second one is absolutely horrible.

Thanks, Carmine - I am looking for the entire "Forbidden Love Suite" - "Forbidden Love/Fire in Your Heart/Cheri/Secret Love Affair/Forbidden Love (reprise)" which comprises Side One of the "Cheri" LP.

And Bernie, as far as Poussez, my records are in storage, and I listed the second LP assuming that "Never Gonna Give You Up" is from that one. If it's on the first, you can scratch the second LP from my list!

    boogie child,
i made my own cd version of that whole side A of madleen kane. i used the vinyl version as a guide and just inserted the cd versions of the songs in its appropriate place. it came out perfect except for the finale song which i dont have in cd form yet.

    Carmine,

Thanks for the info - you are very resourceful with your CD creations! My problem is that I like the last song the best
(Secret Love Affair)! Just my luck...

Jim Burgess mixed a masterpiece with Side One of that LP!

    boogie,
    im just listening to the version i made, which i did about 2 years ago, it goes like this;
1 - forbidden love (from club floor classics the 70's, its a much better version than the 12" collection madleen kane put out) till 5:08
    2 - cheri till 9:51 (12 inches & more)
3 - secret love (from vinyl, but a perfect copy) till 14:59
4 - forbidden love reprise (back to the club floor classics cd) till 17:34
so the only non cd track here is secret love but like i said it is a near perfect copy, and when you surround it with cd versions of the other cuts you wouldnt even no it was there.
