Hi gazebo, :D
"Maureen Walsh" had a hit with with what i thought was great version of Thinking of You.
Got to number 11 in June 1990 in the UK
Not 100% sure if it's her in your remix sample but it's close
This is a cover of "Thinking of you" by Sister Sledge. Does anyone know who this cover or remix is by.

Keep the Faith
Hi Stan,
I also thought it was by "Maureen Walsh" I even bought the cd single.
But I just found out, it's not by her, and it's not the 93 remixes by Sister Sledge.
Paul
Hi again,
Stan, you were right.
It is by - Maureen Walsh.
it is the - "Dream mix of Thinking of you" 1990
Thanks again.
Not sure since I'm getting suspicious of clicking certain links, but I do recall that Paul Weller, leader of the pioneering British punk band the Jam and the more soulful Style Council, covered this song. I saw him perform it on tv and remember being shocked that it ever caught his attention....I liked the original but never considered it one of Chic's stronger compositions or productions. If you're not familiar with Weller's work, I consider him one of the finest songwriters England ever produced, but I've always felt his voice wasn't nearly as distinctive as his composing. Since he's still not very well known to the masses here in the U.S., I must not be the only one who feels that way. A strong singer could REALLY put his soulful songs across in a big way.....
Thinking Of You was a big if belated chart hit here in the UK in '84 after it became a cult track on the soul scene & Mr. Weller was a bit of a 'soul boy' at the time so that's probably why he did a version. He later did a cover version of Joe Smooth's house anthem 'Promised Land' as well. He's got taste.![]()
...ya gotta beat the street......
