I recently downloaded "Dancin' Fever" by Claudja Barry. It's supposed to be the original 12" mix. It sounds a little too high tech for 1978 so I was wondering if someone could confirm what the 12" mix sounds like.
In this version she goes "Dancin Feverrrrr--the word fever is kind of streched out.
Also the part where the chorus sings that gibberish (sounds like pateu, pateu, pateu)is replaced in this version by a synthesizer.
The version you have heard is really the one from 1978. You find this high tech ? How about Moroder's impressive "I feel love" (Donna Summer) way back from 1977 ... it's still sampled today quite often, a track way ahead of its time, it inspired the techno, house music as we know today. Speaking of '77, Midnight shift from Donna, Cerrone's Supernature was also futuristic. Kraftwerk was also very innovative.
If you buy this record your life, will be better.
