There was a Mike Lewis who played at Trocadero in SF--I think that's who you are looking for. Mike did remixes for Technique ("Can We Try Again & "Looking For Someone To Love Tonight" come to mind) and stuff for Hot Tracks, etc.--and was a big fave of mine. He was second only to Bobby V. in my book....(at least, as far as the Hooterville (SF) DJs )

Mike passed away from AIDS, I believe, in the late 1980's.

Some people have confused Mike with Michael Lewis of Rinder & Lewis. They were two different people.

The 12" credits Michael Lewis with production with Special Thanks to Robbie Leslie. I believe these are Robbie's remixes, at least I always thought so.

If anyone is interested, I got this email message from Robbie Leslie regarding the Technique remixes with Mike Lewis. He gave permission for me to post on the site.

    Hi Nicky,

Truth be told – NEITHER of us mixed the song.

Mike Lewis and his partner, Craig Morey (if memory serves) at Arial Records/San Francisco, licensed the two sides which originally appeared on a Canadian label. I forget which one, but ABC/Canada sticks in my head… I just remember it was a black label with white text.

Anyhoo, their release was exactly the same as the original; just re-EQ’d when mastered. I got label credit for introducing them to the songs and sending them in the right direction to acquire the rights. (It was one of those rare imports I had picked up abroad somewhere that no one else had.)

    Be well and Be-have,

    Robbie
