OK, I did my own little lyric quiz on the other board on this one track that I find to be very obscure. Here is the answer:
"Margarita" by Mavassa. Has anyone ever heard this track and does this group have anything else? It's a great almost all synth track and defenatly morning music. Let me know, anyone??

The correct title is "Margherita (love in the sun)" by Massara. I think it was an italian (or french) release from 1979. I have the italian 12" on Derby DBR 15027. The producer and arranger is Pino Massara himself. Side A is vocal and side B instrumental. Don't know if ever released in the US. I don't know anything else by Massara, even if I think he came from the Max Berlins entourage.
Hey,
On the record I have it's title is "Margarita". I have it on the flip side of a 1980 12 inch UK import of Harlow "Take Off" along with another bizzare track called "you And Me" by a group called Spargo. I would love to have the original "Margarita" 12 inch. Esspessally if there is an instrumental. How rare is this track?

Hey, don't be calling Spargo names! They were one of the most successful Dutch disco bands (they scored at least 4 top 10 hits). Their female singer was American, all the others good ol' Dutchies. Lead man Ellert Driesen (or was it DriesSen with two 's'?) went solo as Ellert and scored another few minor dance hits in the UK.
In all seriousness - Spargo was not that good... too simplistic for me (a bit like The Bombers). But now you know a little more about them.

Well thats cool to know. "You And Me" is not a great track in my oppinion. It sounds like a too happy version of Shalamar(in the 70's). I probably only played the song twice since I've had the record(I was trying to see if pitching it down would help the track, but still, not great and not good bass responce neither). "Margarita" is the track I play most off this bizzare 12 inch pressing. And to think, I got it for Harlow's"Take Off".
