I cant find it! I have tried to find the lyric to Extra extra (Read all about it) but I can´t find it... please help me find a page with the lyric... and maby a page where I can listen to it...

"Extra, Extra (Read All About It)" by Ralph Carter (1975) is on two CD compilations that I can recall:

1) "Best Disco In Town, Vol. 2"
10. Extra Extra (Read All About It) performed by Ralph Carter - 3:39

2) "Best Disco Album in the Universe, Vol.?" (I have to check it--I'm not at home)

...anyway this has the 5+minute extended version. This was produced by Van McCoy, I believe, and was released in 1975...."When You're Young & In Love" (written & produced by McCoy) was Ralph's other hit from this period. Ralph Carter was a child actor on "Good Times" playing "Michael Evans". I kid you not.

I did a google search and found a 45 for sale on e-bay:

NORTHERN SOUL 45 ORIGINAL S/S M- RALPH CARTER - EXTRA, EXTRA (READ ALL ABOUT IT). MERCURY 73746.

The asking price is $6.00.

Ooops.... I was wrong about the longer version of "Extra, Extra (Read All About It)" being on "The Best Disco Album in The Universe". :oops:

That was the long version of "When You're Young & In Love" on volume 11. But the short version of "Extra, Extra" is on the first cd I mentioned. ("The Best Disco In Town" vol 2.)
