The three-song medley was an integral part of disco, as we all know, but were there ever some people who objected to the idea of playing another song by the same artist in a row??

Can't say I played three in a row by the same artist that often and I wouldn't say anyone particularly objected if I did.
I remember playing about 6 in a row from Paul Hardcastle when '19' broke, just to let people know what they'd been missing.
