hi everyone,
i just heard a song last night on the radio that sampled carrie lucas "gotta keep dancing". just the string part, i cant remember any of the lyrics though.
anybody know this track???

"I gotta keep dancin" has been sampled by the Rythm Junkeez 5 or 6 years ago in their song "Theme from Talamanca".

But it's an all instrumental song, except in the intro where "Rythm Junkeez" is repeated a few times.

Maybe it's the song you're lookin for.

ill give it a shot, but the song i heard last night had a female voice singing. i wish i could remember what she was saying. thanks for the info.

Somebody else asked this question a few days ago...The track you are looking for is Kurtis Mantronix Present Chamonix "How Did You Know" The CD Single I have includes an instrumental version also.

I don't know that one, but its interesting you brought this up because I've recently heard disco songs being used as the sources of samples. Most are aware that Janet Jackson sampled Change's "The Glow of Love" but TLC sampled Silver Convention's "Fly Robin Fly" and an artist named Brand Nubian has ALSO sampled a Silver Convention song ("Heart of Stone"). Wonder if this is the beginning of a "trend".....
