    Watch Out by Barrabas?

Maybe one of the more knowledgeable members can shed some light on something puzzling.I picked up the Watch Out Lp 1976 by Barrabas on the Atco label. The cover of this album has a picture of a half serpent woman sitting at a makeup table looking in the mirror. Here are the song listings:
    Side 1 Side 2
    Broadway Star Highlight
    It Sexy Lady
    Fire Girl Better Days
Desperately Lay It Down On Me

Now when I went to AMG to find info on this record. They list a completely different Lp for Watch Out.The cover features two head renderings facing each other with the words The Original Barrabas Watch Out.Song cuts on this LP are totally different. They are.
Swinger,Movin,On,Turn Me Love,Oldie,Weekend,Do It,Sweet and Mellow,Love Is In The Air.

This was the same on another site. There is no mention of the Lp copy I have or the songs. My copy is a canadian pressing by WEA Music on the Atco label.Producer is Fernando Arbex.

The US version which I have matches yours. What I think AMG has done is give the track list to the version on the Spanish label, Disconforme.

If you check out Amazon and click on Watch Out, they give you an album cover with the title CHECK MATE spread across the middle. The track list though is the same as you listed for the AMG.

BTW -- the sole reviewer on Amazon for this lp says it was released here in the US as "Heart of The City". Wrong! Just goes to show ya --- believe half of what you read (or probably a lot less).

Just checked my US ATCO vinyl copy and it is the same as yours O'. "Heart of the City" was the album before this.

BTW: The half serpeant lady on the cover of "Watch Out" is none other than Ellen Michaels of the imfamous Salsoul Orchestra "Nice N Nasty" cover! Yum-Yum!

    Bernie, great info !!!
I got a vinyl edited in Brazil on Ariola label (1978). Watch Out was mixed by a woman (Anita Wesler) and had the participation of the Sweethearts Barbara, Evette and Carla.

    Produced by Fernando Arbex
    Cover Photo: Ben Rose
    Art Direction: Bob Degrin/Abie Sussman
Thanks to: Jan Rathbun, Michael Ewasto, Tom Morilton, Bob Clearmountain, Dennis King, Jim Delehant, Barbara, Evette, Carla, Tasha, Peggy & Carl.

All cuts mixed by Anita Wesler except for 'High Light', 'Lay It Down On Me' re-mixed by Jan Rathbun.

I guess one had to be there, this is one of the first 'Club' songs I ever heard, (I didn't know about clubs yet), local bands in High School dances (called Open House Dance)used to do this song, and it was completely different to all the music playing in your typical radio station at the time, not to mention the 'Latin' sound fusion that was very new and appealing at the time, again because it was good and different.
