Paul Jabara "De La Noche/Ocho Rios"
All I can remember is part of the chorus...
"I met a negro... In Ooo Chorios"....
I thought it might be Ertha Kitt ???
I have been trying to find this song since I was in college in the early 90's. It was on an old tape my brother had from a Gay club in Columbus, Ohio. It is so funny and very Latin beat.
Other Lines:
" I tried Montego, I tried Aucopulco, I tried Porto Fino, there was nothing there. So meanwhile I got a tan and looked for a man for me ..."
" Hung like a mule Oh what a tool had he... He ripped off my MooMoo...."
I would greatly appreciate ANY input. I know the song exists I just don't know The Most Important Info.
Thanks,
Gary

Paul Jabara "De La Noche/Ocho Rios"
WELCOME TO THE BOARD, SunFunFl
Helluva song --- interesting lyrics. And I thought I knew my Paul Jabara. Have to see if this is hiding in my collection. Can somebody tell me what album this is from?
Hope to see you in the forums. :)
Nicky
It's off the Lp "De la noche: A true Story" on WB (1-25381),1986.
Thank you! That answers a question I've had about this one for some time. A fellow forum member sent me a copy of this LP, but the previous owner had inexplicably obliterated all the dates on the album with a black marker. Strange...Originally Written by Mixmachine
Glad to be of help... I must admit I never played this lp back then and just gave it a spin, and it's not bad at all, it's a 'Popparela" so he says in the cover, Patti Brooks , Donna Summers, Mary Wilson and Beverly D'Angelo (of Vacations films fame?) appear in this album doing backups, didn't know that until now that I read the credits.
Thank You for the input. I have been looking for the artist for some years now. You guys are FABULOUS !!!
Thanks Again.
Gary
