Bionic Boogie -- remix chaos and confusion

I've started my restoration of Bionic Boogie's "Hot Butterfly" LP, and I'm planning on including all the remixes that I can find. However, this album has an absurd number of mixes for something from this era. I've got two UK 12"s, was loaned a few US promos, and have several tracks from various compilations, and I still don't think I've got them all. I'm trying to replace the sonically horrid tracks from the "Disco-Tech" CD, and I'm running into problems...



Here's what I've got so far:

Hot Butterfly, 8:13, Jim Burgess Mix (US promo)

Chains, 6:47, Gregg Diamond remix (UK 12")

Chains, 8:23, probably Jim Burgess Mix (Unidisc compilation from 1993) -- anyone know the origins of this one?

Fess Up To The Boogie, approx 7:55, Gregg Diamond remix (US promo)

Cream, 6:52, US promo PRO-66 -- not sure if this is a Gregg Diamond or Jim Burgess mix; label says one, and sticker says the other

...to make matters even more confusing, there is another promo *also numbered PRO-66*, that has a 6:40 remix on it. The only thing that distinguishes the two is the REV-1 and "REMIX #2" in small print on the second one.



Now, despite all that, there are still two tracks on the Disco-Tech CD that don't belong to any of those 12s or the album versions:



Paradise, 5:31 -- the version on the CD plays slower than the album (could just be a result of the piss-poor mastering on this disc), and the strings seem to be mixed louder -- or is it just my imagination? Paradise appears as the b-side of one of the UK 12s, but it's the album version...



Cream, 6:51 -- the version on the CD starts off with a low rumbling noise followed by a brief synth effect before the track kicks in. I'll have to take a closer look to see if the rest of the track is the same as the album or 12" versions...



So, does anyone know where these last two tracks came from, as well as the 8:23 mix of "Chains"? It's a good thing I don't have any hair left to pull out over this...

I have the PRO 066 with the matching sticker and label and the 6:37 mix of "Cream" is the Jim Burgess remix so your "Cream" at 6:52, more than likely, is the Diamond remix.

Looks as though the mystery continues... Perhaps Giovanni or Maarten can confirm?

I am as much at a loss as Graham. The silver lining is that there are clean, crisp, excellent sounding versions in the making by the master who needs a dog (or was it the other way around?).



I have album versions only, and the CD-with-the-poor-sound-quality-that-I-like-nonetheless (is that one word?).

Cream, 6:52, US promo PRO-66

It turns out that this is the album version. The reason it's longer is that it's got a bit of "Fess Up To The Boogie" at the end that quickly fades out. Now I understand why they revised the disc.



Still hoping I can fit all this on one CD...
