Eclipse - Makes Me Love You
samples "Thinking of You" by Sister Sledge.

PJ - Happy Days is actually PJ - Happy Days remixed.
I assume you meant the Defected Uk released one? It has been reissued about 6 times on various labels all sounding the same.

For the others you can try the "Happy Days" series of vinyls which all contain original disco tracks sampled by house tunes. Almost all the ones you list are on there. Unfortunately these only give the title, not the artist, but there are some real gems. They are available from www.juno.co.uk

Powerhouse samples Thelma houston "I'm here again" (or "Here I am again" :-? )

Phat's & Small samples BT Express "does it feel good"

one more vote for finding the sample used in "Happy days". :P Do you know the version by Sugarland Gang ? It's pretty good too ! If at least I understood the lyrics, that could help other fella members, let's see, that goes "these are the happy days, gonna make you feel alright, these are the happy days...". I'm lost after that. Though the voices are pitched, I'd say those are falsetto male voices, and it's probably a group...

Basement Jaxx - "Red alert" is build around a sample from "Far Beyond" by Locksmith. Album is "Unlock The Funk" (Arista, 1979)

about Paul Johnson - Get get Down....it really depends on what mix you're talking about. The "Dancefloor Dub" version (available on the 1st Disco Kandi compilation) samples from "Look What You Find" by George Duke (originally on the "Master Of The Game" LP (CBS, 1979)

The Radio edit of "get get down" samples Bohannon's "Me & my Gang"

I don't know the sample of "Pleasure Love" but There is no doubt there is at least one used in this song.

Hey K-Bee, I always wondered what that locksmith tune was called. My mate had a bootleg copy of it with just "locksmith" written on it.

Do you know what they say in that chant they repeat throughout it?

Kendela, that's a pretty good question. I haven't been able to realize it myself and unfortunaly no lyrics are on the sleeve. Maybe some of the regular funk afficionados 'round here can tell?
