I remember Rita Lee's "Lanzaperfume" was a disco hit in Argentina back in the day. Hello Brazil!

About Two Man Sound's "Disco Samba", I have a sad story to tell. This "song" I have learned to hate because all Argentine DJs put it on wedding parties. It's always in the middle of the party, something called "Carnaval carioca" and it goes like this: someone hands the guests masks, silbatos and serpentinas (I don't know how it's said in English), "Disco Samba" is on in its entirety, and suddenly all people act like they're really happy. You Brazilians know we in Argentina are a bit melancholic, so by this time one have to drink a lot to put himself "in the mood" or wait seated until this overexcited mood stops.

Sorry, doesn't have anything to do with music, but I wanted to tell it because I know you Brazilians will find it fun.

    See you in Corea!

    Hello "hermanito" Nano!!

Believe me my friend, I dont like much carnival. It's just a silly and fake happyness without sense.Just my opinion.

By the way, I just be in Buenos Aires already, beautiful city, I like very much.

In that ocasion (96) I bought a Disco compilation CD called "Disco 70's".Great CD - it contains various tracks that I dont have in that time. Jimmy Ross, BB&Q Band, Mc Fadden & Whitehead and others, really cool.

About the World Cup, well... the final its gonna be in Japan not Korea!!!! Then....see you in Japan.Good Luck!

    Peace,

I remember I was in Porto Alegre once, two years ago. Bought a nice CD compilation of Billy Paul, not available in Buenos Aires stores.

Hope we make it to the final, but in the last week we had like five football players hurt. Hope there's no macumba involved...

    Best regards,

    Nano

I remember that Tania Maria's "Come With Me" (1985) was very popular in the London clubs I used to frequent at the time.

A Brazilian jazz track that crossed over into mainstream club/danceland ...
