I think you got a rarity, Nano !!!
I listened to "Breathless" by Trax (1977). It's funny, I can hear an old double bass on "Breathless", that large stringed instrument :D .
This one has been my disco track of the week, even if not very disco at all. It's called "Boom Boom (schmaltz schmaltz)" and it's the last track on the Dancing in the Street LP (1979).
It has a Twenties feel and it's so great! Got me hooked since I discovered it the other day.
Trax is the side band of Pete Bellotte (Giorgio's partner) and Keith Forsey (Giorgio's drummer). The song is credited to them plus someone named Baldursson. I remember someone said this was the worst album by Trax, but it sounds quite good to me. Now I have to look for the others... :)
Was this one played at the disco anywhere?

You mean an acoustic bass? ¿Un contrabajo?
According to AllMusic.com, "Breathless" is featured in a 1977 LP called Watch out. I remember seeing one Trax LP with a F-1 car on the cover, maybe it's that one.
That's basically the only Trax album featured on that database, but Dancing in the street (1979) is pretty easy to find in Buenos Aires (vinyl, of course).
Yep! A contrabajo. In Brazil a very old instrumental jazz group called 'Zimbo Trio' utilizes drums, piano and contrabajo. They are soooooo purist :D .
The Trax cover from 77 shows a motorcycle!!! I found another interesting album produced by Pete Bellotte ( France Joli - Attitude - 1983 - vinyl) but the salesman wants a river of money    .
