Well Hellooo all Y'all!
discomusic.com is one huge vast ocean to navigate, but I' start here :)
First off I want to thank the WHOLE GENERATION before me that left such a fantastic brilliant dazzling magical sensual down-right-funky musical legacy. From the producers and musicians to the dancers and clubbers and even the Moms who didn't want their kids going out to those 'places'. I think it took everybody to produce what's hear now.
I'm a collector and DJ here on the east coast of Canada. It's wild to be discovering for the first time music that is 20-30 years (young). And there's so much! I discovered wondrous disco around 1990 when I found Donna Summer Love Trilogy- and I'm still discovering awesome 'new' tracks all the time! Immagine- only this month I heard for the first time, Sharon Redd never give you up. That was cut 27 years ago and man its sooo fresh!
I joined the forum to connect with other disco lovers to discuss hopefully, and share some of my thoughts on being an old school (two turntables) disco dj in the 2000's...
Peace!
~Bumpsie!
