I just picked up these records. Does anyone remember these titles?
1. Whodini - Open Sesame (Album) (Arista '87)
2. Debbie Gibbson - Electric Youth (Album) (Atlantic, '89)
3. Norma Jean - Sorcerer / I Believe in you (12" Promo) (Bearsville Records, 78)
4. James Wells - My claim to fame (Album) (Avi, '78)
5. "Love Bug" Starski - You've Gotta Believe / Starski Live At the Disco Fever (Fever Records, ???)
I always hated Debbie Gibson with a passion. Like Britney Spears without the 'sexy' image.
...ya gotta beat the street......
It's interesting that only 15 years ago, the girl singers didn't need to be card-carrying harlots to be successful. Ironically, when Debbie went with the mature-ish "Anything Is Possible" in 1990, it was all over. Then she insisted on being called "Deborah". What-ever!!
I remember Debbie Gibson. I was never a fan of hers, though. She was recently a judge on the TV show "American Juniors".
Loved this! Could never decide which version I wanted to play with --- the 12" or that explosive intro on the lp version.Originally Written by mixtape
Agreed. One of Rodgers & Edwards' most underrated moments.Originally Written by NickNack
