    Discofied Halloween

    HI!

Heading for the nightfall here, the darkness is ascending fast! What are you people going to dig out from your disco vaults to keep those mirrorballs shining bright through this Halloween?

Just crossed my mind, what do you like to listen while galloping around in nothing but a pumpkin, thin white sheet and glass shoes :) Those who are keen on more formal outfits may answer aswell.

I'd go for at least these:
    Dance freak and boogie/Nightlife Unlimited
Do or die/Grace Jones (why not Suffer and On your Knees aswell)
Follow me/Amanda Lear Wally McDonald mix
Eyes in the back of my head/Patti LaBelle
and of course the favorite Hot jungle drums.../DC LaRue

Isn't there some vampire disco songs or so? I remember seeing some funny named band like that or something. Spooky!

Halloween's 'Come See What It's All About' is a fierce disco/boogie bullet!

"When the moon is full, we all come out to paaatay
Don't you be the fool, come see what it's all about...

...when the sun goes down, you'll find us hanging 'round you
Don't you be afraid, just let us in your mind
I know you wanna scream, I know you wanna hollar
When you feel the groove, you know it's party time..."

Awful album/12" cover - killer tune!

Vampire disco? Music to suck blood by include the hilariously intoned yet forcefully pounding house-style DISCO BLOOD by The Vamps which was a Brazilian Baccara act from 1978, SUPER BLOODSUCKER by Sheen, the sexy LOVE AFFAIR by Claudia Cardinale, same song by The Paradise Birds, SUCK ME DRACULA by Possession and the biggest of them all, SOUL DRACULA by Hot Blood. Meco did a vampire tune too on his MOONDANCER album. I cannot find the damn thing right now nor remember what the track was called but it was sung by Diva Gray wasn't it? The Nocturna ost doesn't really bite into the subject as such. Bon appetit.

You can add for next year "Love at first Bite" a vampire comedy to a disco beat, the "love theme" has a very sensual groove....

Wasn't there a record called Drac's Back by the Bollock Brothers? I think I have a copy of it somewhere on a 12", but can't remember ever playing it in anger.

Something I literally just listened too that would be great to lay under other tracks would be Paul Hardcastle (Top Of The Pops theme) THE WIZARD? where they say (in a sinister chipmunk type voice) in the intro and break "We're gonna get ya, we're gonna get ya?" In the break you also get a sinister sounding "Here kitty kitty, come to mommy"

There is a disco album by a group called "Halloween" titled "Come See What It's All About" from 1979.

"L.A. disco sextet tried to make it on the post-Village People concept of dressing up as ghoulish characters"
