I just got this 45 in the mail today and I keep playing it over and over. It is on the Montuno record label, from 1975. "Sunny" is the A side and clocks in at 4:32.
There is something about pre-1976 disco that makes it different from the disco music after that period and beyond. I think that disco music, particularly in 1975, was "hardcore", in it that it was more emphasis on actual instruments rather than electronics. I also think because of this, the music sounded more "fresh".

Robbie:
I agree with you completely. I am currently working on a DJ mix featuring many songs from the '74-'75 disco era such as:
Walk away from love - David Ruffin
Hey girl, come and get it - The Stylistics
The Hustle - Van McKoy
Dreaming a dream - The Crown Heights Affair
to name a few and they all sound better than alot of the electronically infused disco from the later '70's. Strings were also a big proponent of the mid '70's disco sound that you don't hear in the songs from later in the decade. By the way, I'm also feeling 'Sunny' by Yambu.
Easy,
