Yeah, Nano... the Thom Bell section (side 2 of tape #2) is real nice. Johnny's "Life Is A Song Worth Singing" into Dionne's "Once You Hit The Road" into Dionne & The Spinners' "Then Came You". Thom Bell orchestrated like no one else. It is such a distinctive sound--he makes great use of strings and the minute you hear one of his songs--you know it's him. Burt Bacharach is the only other guy I can think of who had such a distintive sound. Bacharach's use of French horns and muted trumpets is soooo instantly recognizable. Bell's sound is more strings and electric piano, I'd say.
