Hey everyone. Just taking a quick survey. What's your brand/software for burning CD's on your computer? I currently have Easy CD Creator 6.0 and I'm not happy. Is Nero any good and are there others?
Thanks.

Currently using Nero 5.5. Not as forgiving of user error as EZCD, but more powerful and less "AOL" (as one person I met aptly described it).
Thinking of moving to something even more powerful so that I can do tracks at index 0 and other fun stuff like that :D
I have Nero and its fine. Although I'm just getting to this cd burning thing since I got the new computer about 6 months ago. To me Nero seems logical and quite easy to use. I only use it to copy some cds becouse my laptop doesn't have soundcard so I can't use other sounsources. Anyway Nero has some possabilities to alter the sound of the songs with EQ and so before burning them. I actually should test it more
I’m still using CD creator 5 that is working perfect, I like EZCD’s ‘TEXT’ feature, and wish all CD issues had this, it’s really nice to be able to list and display Artist’s Name and title for every song on a compilations mix. Can I do this with Nero?
Easy CD Creator 3.5, a bit old but works just fine. However, my favorite is the MUSICMATCHbecause it supports more CD labels and also you can burn CDs right out of MP3 files without having to convert them first. Plus it reads and converts files in strange formats like VBR and the like.
I don't give much importance at cover credits because I like to do the covers by hand. 8)
It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)
Yes, Mixmachine, there is the cd-text function in Nero too. It comes with the express version and the more precise version. The express is very handy with doing compilations from different cd's, becouse just one click and all the tracks are burnt at the same sound level.
Being new at burning cd's I acctually just messed up with this. I burnt down songs from Casablanca and Salsoul compilations and forgot to normalize the sound levels, becouse I was using the larger version, not express, and the option is not visible. Well I learn all the time, I hope
Yes - the burning abilities in MUSICMATCHare very good. Been using it for a year know and i've never had any problems
Highly recommended :D
Thanks guys. Appreciate the feedback. I'll reload my EZCD and take another look. My patience level is below zero and the fact that EZCD kept insinuating itself everywhere on my desktop was getting under my skin. Time for a valium. :)
I use Nero mainly these days, but the masterful program is Feurio. For the more technically minded, it gives full control over more aspects of CD burning than most other programs and has handy features like a system diagnosis, which can sniff out unused and/or potentially problematic drivers.
WinonCD is a more powerful variant of EasyCD Creator and is easy to use. This may be another option for Nicky. I also suggest Graham Start give Feurio a trial.
What would you do without your muesli...where would you be without a bowl?
Thanks, Forrrce. I've found the trial version of Feurio online but everytime I look for WinonCD I end up with Easy CD-DA Extractor? Is Winon the European name, maybe?

I have to admit, I tried it out the naughty way, with a capital 'K'...
