Which station was your favorite? I mostly listened to Northeastern's and Emmerson College's radio station.

Yes I do.

It was hard to pick up BOS's signal.

It was Sunny's intention to slowly evelove Kiss from disco to Top 40 keeping the dance crowd. Personally I think he should have just stuck with an urban format (A la Star 93.7)



Early 1980 Rko (AM) and F105 suddenly dumped the Top 40 and BOS went from disco to AC For a few years Kiss had the Top 40 format to itself and since it was still leaning urban tracks like Tom Brown's "Funkin for Jamacia" and Taana Gardener's orginal "Heartbeat" were sort of #1 pop hits in the hub.

Doesn't San Diego have several "dance" stations? They used to have two or three when I lived there throughout the 80's.

I really don't listen to the stations in San Diego that much, especially the FM music stations. I know there is Jammin' Z90 that a lot of the younger people listen to. They play mostly hip hop and rap. The other station that I guess might be of more appeal to me is I think Magic 94.9. Their format is R&B mostly from the seventies and eighties. There are also a handful of top 40 pop stations.

San Diego has a cool hard rock station in KIOZ 105.3. The last tme I was there, which was a few years ago, I tuned the car radio to that station (I discovered the station from some website). Of course, I'm probably the only person here who would be interested in that station.



Paul, I think the station you're thinking of is Magic 92.5. I listened to that station as well during that same time I was in San Diego. From what I remember it was just like Los Angeles station Mega 92.3 (which is sadly no more), which was also played R&B oldies. San Diego has better radio stations than Los Angeles.

You're right Outsider, it is 92.5. As I've mentioned, I mostly listen to talk radio. My music is primarily my own stuff.
