Hi stropho03,
WELCOME TO THE BOARD
I think a few more clues are in order if you have any. Fast, slow, early or late 80's, anything. Instrumentals are hard anyway so if you can fill in any blanks we'd have a better shot.
Good Luck.

I'm looking for the name of a song that was played a lot in dance clubs in the 80's. It's instrumental, guitar, with a Latin rhythm. I've been trying to find the name of this song for years....please help....it's driving me crazy....
Thanks,
stropho03

Without much to go on, try these:
"I've been thinking about you" by Londonbeat (has vocals).
"El Bimbo" by Bimbo Jet (came out in the 70's).
Question: Was it a Spanish Guitar, Rock, Jazz ???? 8)
Sorry for so little clues  Here's what I can remember....it's sort of a fast, upbeat dance rhythm, and if I remember correctly, rhythmic clapping with the beat (Latin style beat). Not much to go on, I know, but I'm hoping someone can remember it.
Thanks--![]()
For discodjii's question....I'd say it was Spanish guitar--I'll try the two you suggested....Thanks much :P
These first few are not "instrumentals" but they're kind of long. Maybe you only heard the instrumental portion.
Santa Esmeralda - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood; House of the Rising Sun; Another Cha-Cha
Revalacion - House of the Rising Sun
Also: Azoto - San Salvador (instrumental 12" version)
Voyage - Latin Odyssey (more brass than guitar but maybe)
I'm stumped.
How about "Old San Juan" from MFSB?
