DISCO_TANGO_MAN do you mean MOVIN' LIKE A SUPERSTAR-JACKIE ROBINSIN on ariola records 1976
.....there you are movin like a superstar..........
Hi there!
I'm new here and I need your help. The subject "There you are, standing there, like a superstar" was from a song I heard back in the 70's and I can't find out who in the heck it is. I thought it was Bob McGilpin, but it's not.
It's been freaking me out for 30 years!
Anyone know what these lyrics came from?
Thanks

DISCODISK,
Hi, thanks. That could be it, but I would have to listen to it. Its been racking my brains. It looks to be a rare album. I'll have to call the record store and see if they got it.
Trying to find more about it.
Will let you know if I find it. I hopr that's it. Sounds like it could be.
Thanks for part of the lyrics!

Ah, but hold on - you say it was a Bob McGilpin soundalike, in other words a male singer? There was a longer - but not better by any means - version of the Moving Like a Superstar tune by a butch sounding Amadeo, and a very good near-remake by White Fever called Dancing like A Superstar, also featuring a male singer.
