1). A remake of Stephanie Mills "Never Knew Like This Before". Female vocals. In the Kylie Minogue/SAW vein.

2). Sounds similar to Snap's "The Power". It goes "the def jam is kickin it, the def jam is here". This is repeated several times.

3). House styled song. Sparse female vocals "Cause I need it, cause I want it" and a sample of the strings from "Love's Theme". The vocals have a stutter effect "ca, ca,ca cause I need it".

4). Starts off with a sample of "get on your feet and dance to the beat" from Sylvester, then a guy says something like "i'm gonna get you girl" several times, then it samples the strings from "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You" by Boystown Gang and a female chorus starts singing "Rockberry, rockberry, jam, jam"

#1 could be by The Right Attitude, they did a cover of it in '93. Although I don't have the original, only have this on a Direct Hit issue.

#2 sounds like "Swing" by the Def Boys - came out in 1990.

#3 hmmmm.... at first blush I'm thinking "Respect" by Adeva.

hey how old is tape?? because they have a new version of Never Knew Like This Before (2001 Nic Mercey's Circuit Anthem Mix). Is it a dj mixed tape???

Gwen Guthrie did a version of "Never Knew Love Like This Before" in 1990. Could that be the one? (your kylie/saw comments lead me to think it's probably not)
