I dug out a box of old tapes and took them to the office. So now I'm listening to some of the tapes I made for playing in my car or in the record store I used to work some 20 (!) years ago.

Bill Summers & Summers Heat - "She's gone" and "Music Land"

Freddie James - Don't turn your back on love

Alec Nation - Trop triste (who knows this French disco beauty?)

Kraftwerk - I am the robot

Easy Going - Fear

Shotgun - Bad baby (who knows more about this track? From which album is it?)

Shirley Bassey - You've never done it like that

Chaka Khan - Chanson Papillon

Al Jarreau & Randy Crawford - "Your precious love" and "Who's right, who's wrong"



I also just received a double CD called "Club 80's Volume 2". I bought it online as it contains the 12" version of Le Club's "Un fait divers et rien de plus" as well as many (29) other French language 12" versions (and a few single versions, such as Lio's "Le banana split". I prefer her album which contains "Comic discomix" which is excellent). Jussi, you might like this CD!

Maarten - I'll check amazon.fr for that cd for sure - thanks for the info! Lio was always a favourite, though that track brings back scary memories of looking into a mirror and seeing something dressed in a shoulderpadded jacket with sleeves rolled up and wearing shoes with no socks a la Crockett & Tubbs...
